On 5th April, 1915, the 1st Northumberland Fusiliers battalion of 9 Brigade, 3rd Division left their billets in Kruisstraat and moved into trenches at Voormezeele, just to the south of Ypres, where they remained for two days before moving back to billets in Dickebusch. Maurice Perlman was killed on 7th April when there were a few casualties from sniper fire and stray bullets. |
